Back to Blogging

After a brief hiatus from blogging, I'm excited to get back into the swing of things. The end of my final semester at the University of Wisconsin had me beyond busy and didn't leave much time to tend to Keynotes. Well, graduation has since come and gone (so bittersweet) and the elusive job-hunt is now in full force. I've got more time on my hands and am ready to get back into creating new content!

Let's talk graduation: I ended up wearing this stunning J.Crew dress for commencement, and couldn't have been happier about it. It's such a classic little white dress, not to mention, it fit like a glove. As for decorating my cap, I opted for a simple design - the University's motion "W". It looked simple enough, but let me tell you, it was anything but. Five hours, two trips to Michael's, 300 red rhinestones, enough silver glitter to drive anyone a little nuts and a few E6000 disasters later, I'm pretty satisfied with how it turned out.
In the days since graduation, I've been able to reflect on my college experience and my time at UW-Madison. I'll admit, the thought of graduation was absolutely terrifying a few months ago. With graduation comes real-life responsibilities, finding a job, settling down, being a "real adult". I have loved every second of my time at this fantastic school and wouldn't trade any of it for the world. How was I supposed to come to terms with giving all of this up? I am truly beyond blessed to have been able cheer on my football team during Badger Saturdays, spend my weekend afternoons relaxing at the Memorial Union Terrace, hike up Bascom Hill to class in the unbearable dead of winter and learn from nationally-recognized professors. As this chapter in my life comes to a close, I'm excited to see what the next might bring. How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard?
